Fran Drescher Signs With APA (Exclusive)
Her signature voice was most recently heard this summer in 'Hotel Transylvania 3,' where she reprised her role as Frank Stein's wife Eunice.
Fran Drescher has signed with APA in all areas, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
The actress, of course, is best known as the titular caregiver on the hit 1990s sitcom The Nanny, for which she earned two pairs of back-to-back Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. That wasn't the only show she also created and executive produced; in 2011, she did the same with TV Land's Happily Divorced, which was inspired by her friendship with her gay ex-husband.
Drescher employs her signature voice as Eunice, the wife of Frank Stein, in the Hotel Transylvania franchise, whose third installment, Summer Vacation, was released by Columbia this summer. Her other credits include This Is Spinal Tap, Jack, Entourage, Broad City and The Simpsons. In 2014, she made her Broadway debut as the stepmother in Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella.
As an author, Drescher most recently wrote the children's book Being Wendy in 2011. Her previous memoirs, 1996's Enter Whining and 2002's Cancer Schmancer, were both New York Times best-sellers, with the latter also winning the National Coalition of Cancer Survivorship's Writer's Award. Drescher, who is an 18-year survivor of uterine cancer, founded and serves as president and visionary of the nonprofit Cancer Schmancer, which focuses on detection, prevention (particularly via a healthy, toxin-free lifestyle) and advocacy to combat the disease.
Drescher continues to be managed by Rick Dorfman, Bonnie Liedtke and Bryan Leder at Authentic.
