The NBCUni veteran will continue to oversee the company's product distribution and pay cable and new media platforms.

Frances Manfredi has been upped to president of NBCUniversal Cable and New Media Distribution. The announcement came Wednesday from Ted Harbert, chairman, NBC Broadcasting and Rick Finkelstein, vice chairman and COO, Universal Studios. Manfredi will report to Harbert and Finkelstein.

She'll continue to oversee NBCUniversal’s product distribution to basic and pay cable and new media platforms and also oversee all of the company’s non-theatrical distribution business. Manfredi will continue to work closely with Barry Wallach, President, Domestic Television Distribution, and the Domestic TV Distribution team.

“Frances is a truly extraordinary executive whose contributions to NBCUniversal have been significant,” Harbert said in a statement. “This promotion is a well-deserved recognition of the impact and value of her role at the company.”

Added Finkelstein: “Over the many years that Frances and I have worked together it’s always been clear that she is a leader in her field. By more closely aligning her work with cable and the film group, we will streamline our efforts with the goal of continuing to grow and expand our business in this important area.”
