French, German Buyers Go Mad for 'Ronal The Barbarian'
Danish 3D animation sells strongly in Cannes.
COLOGNE, Germany - Cannes buyers have gone mad for Ronal The Barbarian, with France's Seven Sept and MFA in Germany among the hordes hungry for the Danish animated 3D feature about a wimpy warrior called on to save his tribe.
Boutique sales outfit LevelK inked deals with 15 territories for Ronal during the Cannes film market, including Volga for Russia, CIS and the Baltic States; HGC for China, Kino Swiat for Poland and Bulgaria's Pro Film. Ronal bows in Denmark Sept. 22 with will role out worldwide in October.
