Frida Westerberg Named COO at Scandinavian Major Svensk

Frida Westerberg P
Svensk Filmindustri

Westerberg joins the Scandi giant from Svensk parent company Bonnier Group, where she has been VP corporate development and M&A.

Frida Westerberg, an executive at Swedish media giant Bonnier Group, is moving to Bonnier subsidiary, the mini-major Svensk Filmindustri, where she takes over as Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

Westerberg will report directly to Svensk CEO Jonas Fors and oversee Svensk's financing and production divisions as well as its new establishment and research operations. She joins Svensk as the company is going through a major reorganization following its merger with Swedish production company Tre Vanner, the group behind the hit Easy Money film trilogy and TV crime series the Fjallbacka Murders. Fors, former CEO of Tre Vanner, took over as boss of the merged group last October.

"I am very pleased that Frida has joined the Svensk team," said Jonas Fors. "The company is at present in a very exciting phase of reorganization and strengthening the company's Nordic and international activities. That includes the ambition to meet the new challenges the business is facing such as attracting and keeping talent and international investors."

For the past five years, Westerberg has been vp corporate development and M&A for Bonnier Group. She has held various positions at Bonnier, including serving as CFO for Bonnier Magazines and Bonnier Books. She is also currently a board member of Bonnier Publications and the Nordic Cinema Group. Before joining Bonnier Group, Westerberg worked for Goldman Sachs within its investment banking division in London, New York and Stockholm.
