SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - FEBRUARY 27:  Nick Ring of Canada punches by Riki Fukuda of Japan during their middleweight bout as part of UFC 127 at Acer Arena on February 27, 2011 in Sydney, Australia.

The Canadianized version of FX Networks is to air the UFC's signature weekly reality show, starting with the 15th season from March 2012.

TORONTO - FX Canada, the local version of the U.S.-based FX Networks channel, has acquired the 15th and 16th seasons of The Ultimate Fighter, the UFC's signature weekly reality show.

The acquisition follows the stateside FX Networks starting to air the long-running reality show, which features UFC fighters living together and battling one another in an elimination series.

FX Canada will add The Ultimate Fighter to its lineup when the reality show shifts to Friday nights with season 15 in March 2012, and with a new format.

Besides original and library catalogue series from FX Networks, FX Canada also features new programming from FX Productions and Twentieth Century Fox Television.

Original FX series already slated to air on FX Canada include American Horror Story, from producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the comedy Wilfred, starring Elijah Wood and Jason Gann, another comedy The League, and the dramas Lights Out and Terriers.

The launch of FX Canada on November 1 also brought the U.S. series Louie, starring Louis C.K., and Sons of Anarchy to Canada.
