PC remains the most popular game platform

BRUSSELS -- Video gamers are increasingly using their consoles to watch movies, according to new research: About 69% of PlayStation 3 users, 33% of Wii players and 57% of Xbox 360 gamers watch films on their consoles, with 44% of PS3 owners also using it to watch Blu-ray discs.

The survey by Amsterdam-based Forrester Research found the PC was still the most popular video gaming platform, used by 60% of respondents versus 33% on game consoles, 27% on mobile phones, and 20% on Game Boys and other handheld devices. Only 28% claimed not to play games.
