Gemma Arterton, Stephen Mangan to Host U.K.'s Olivier Awards

The U.K.'s most prestigious stage awards, considered Britain's answer to the Tonys, will be dished out by the former Bond girl and the actor at a ceremony in April.

Actress Gemma Arterton, set to star this fall in the new musical Made in Dagenham, based on the BBC-backed film of the same name, and British stage and TV actor Stephen Mangan will host this year's Olivier Awards, the top London theater honors.

Arterton is best known for her movie roles in the 2008 James Bond installment Quantum of Solace, Clash of the Titans (2010), and Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013). Mangan is currently starring in Jeeves & Wooster in Perfect Nonsense on the London stage; he was nominated for a featured actor Tony in 2009  for his role in Alan Ayckbourn's The Norman Conquests on Broadway.

Britain's answer to the Tonys, the Olivier Awards will be held at London's Royal Opera House on April 13.

The voiceover for the night will be provided by Olivier Award winner Julie Walters.

This year’s set has been designed by Es Devlin, whose resume boasts designing the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony and, most recently, doing the set design for the new X Factor musical I Can’t Sing!, backed by Simon Cowell.
