Oh, what a difference a day makes! Just ask the team behind this year’s annual Montblanc-sponsored 24 Hour Plays. For the fourth year running, Hollywood came together last Friday to produce the one-night-only live performance at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica. The evening benefited the non-profit Urban Arts Partnership, dedicated to creating arts-integrated education programs in underserved public schools. An all-star cast of six writers, six directors and 24 actors, including Alanis Morissette, Gavin Rossdale, Abbie Cornish, Ashley Madekwe and Jamie Chung, worked in tandem to drum up six original plays — and enlisted the help of the talented Kevyn Aucoin beauty team to create a handful of equally inventive looks.

Pret-a-Reporter was on hand for an exclusives sneak peek backstage to see the Kevyn Aucoin beauty team work their flawless face magic. Here, we reveal how to recreate the thespians’ off-the-cuff looks.
For Jamie Chung’s performance alongside Rossdale and Wilmer Valderrama, Kevyn Aucoin Beauty’s director of pro-artist relations, Vivianna Martin, was inspired to create a minimal but impactful look. To do so, Martin primed the actress’ complexion using the brand’s Normal/Dry Prime Skin Developer, topped with Sensual Skin Enhancer in SX06 and SX08 and Sensual Skin Tinted Balm in #5. For an effortless sun-kissed glow, Martin gave Chung a light dusting of Celestial Bronzing Veil in Tropical Days, paired with a luminous eye using Shimmer Shadow in Candlelight and lined with Eye Pencil Primatif in Black. Rounding out the look, Martin turned to Flesh Tone Lip Pencil Minimal, layered with a swipe of the brand’s super-smooth Matte Lip Color in For Keeps.

Sharing the stage with Abbie Cornish in the ten-minute play “Nigh-illest,” Ashley Madekwe turned things up in the color department. Artist Alex Mendoza turned to Kevyn Aucoin Normal/Dry Skin Developer and Liquid Airbrush Foundation in #10 to create Madewke’s smooth complexion, and dusted her cheeks with Pure Powder Glow in hot-pink Myracle. Mendoza opted for a subtle, pearlescent shade on the thespian’s lids with Loose Shimmer Shadow in Rose Quartz, and kicked things up a notch on Madekwe’s lips with a punchy swipe of Kevyn Aucoin Beauty’s newly released fuchsia-toned Janelline Lip Gloss.
