Public relations firm 42West has named Susan Ciccone, Linda Guerrero, Tom Piechura, Amanda Silverman and Meredith O’Sullivan Wasson to the posts of managing directors.
The company, which began as PR firm the Dart Group when it was founded by Leslie Dart in 2004 before becoming 42West in 2006 after Amanda Lundberg and Allan Mayer joined as partners, called the quintet “the backbone” of the firm and “its future leadership.”
“Their new titles are a reflection of the key role they have been playing for some time now in the rapid growth and gratifying success 42West has enjoyed,” the three founders said in a statement.
Ciccone leads 42West’s west coast entertainment marketing team and has overseen the national film campaigns for movies ranging from Breaking Dawn Parts 1 & 2 to The Hurt Locker and the Oscar campaigns of films such as Life of Pi, The Social Network and War Horse.
Guerrero runs the company’s targeted entertainment marketing and promotions division, working on multicultural campaigns for 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate, Relativity, Summit Entertainment, The Weinstein Company, Universal, Walt Disney Studios and Warner Bros., among others. Films on her extensive resume range from Argo to Winnie the Pooh and from The Dark Knight Rises to Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
Piechura, who has been with the company since its inception, leads the East Coast marketing team and has overseen theatrical campaigns for comedies such as Hot Tub Time Machine, action movies such as Kick-Ass and awards heavyweights such as Inglorious Basterds.
As head of the company’s east coast talent division, Silverman works with actors such as Penelope Cruz and Charlize Theron and musical artists such as Mary J. Blige and Rihanna. She also works with many celebrity charities, including Alicia Keys’ Keep a Child Alive and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
O’Sullivan Wasson, who heads its west coast talent team, works not only as a talent rep but as a consultant on endorsements and philanthropy. On her client list are boldface names Will Smith, Halle Berry, Ryan Reynolds and Reese Witherspoon.
