We’re getting down to the wire on holiday gift shopping, and we’ll admit it: All we want this season is makeup, nail polish, lipstick and powder (really, what woman can ever have enough of these things? We doubt even Cameron Diaz feels differently).
You can buy someone the wrong size sweater or itchy pajamas or candles they won’t use (and will probably re-gift) or something as anonymous as bottles of wine or champagne — but lipstick, nail polish and body lotions are girly, festive and will always get used and appreciated. What’s a better gift than the gift of confidence, after all?
Not only that, awards season is just around the corner in Hollywood, and even if you can’t borrow next season’s designer couture clothes like the actresses, a new lipstick color can provide the “hit” you need to feel good about your HBO party entrance — even in your staple black chiffon cocktail dress.
That said, there are way oo many beauty gift sets to choose from in this world. So here are six we have our eyes on (who knows, we might break down and buy one or two for ourselves).
Some are low priced, some high — very high — but you can be sure they will not be forgotten or ever go unused. And some are nice just to fantasize about! Isn’t that what the holiday season is all about anyway?
