The Golden Globe noms are in, and it’s that time again (hello awards season!) to anticipate who will win our hearts with their best red-carpet looks yet. Below are the seven starlets (Emma Stone, Julianne Moore and Tessa Thompson, included) we’ll be watching when they hit the award show on Jan. 11.
We don’t see enough of Maggie Gyllenhaal — who is nominated for The Honorable Woman — on the carpet, but every time we do, she always brings her style A-game. Case in point: She stunned in the long-sleeve embroidered ensemble by Lanvin at the BAFTA Awards earlier this year, and again, at the Tony Awards with her Dolce & Gabbana feathered frock.

If the actress’ three Edge of Tomorrow film premiere outfit changes within 24 hours didn’t impress you, then we don’t know what else will. Styled by Jessica Paster, Blunt has continued her reign on the red carpet, especially with her most recent outfit — the floral Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore for the Into the Woods world premiere.
After seeing the House of Cards nominee rule the carpet in her custom cream Ralph Lauren Collection tuxedo jumpsuit, we can’t wait to see what power outfit she’ll wear next. Here’s to looking at her stylists, Kemal Harris and Karla Welch.
Tessa Thompson
The actress, whose film Selma is nominated for best drama picture, has slowly become one of our faves to watch on the carpet. Did you see that embellished Ashi Studios dress with a silk cropped overlay she wore to accept the Breakthrough Actor Award at this year’s Gotham Film Awards? Talk about a stunner.
Emma Stone
Time and time again, the Birdman actress is a winner on the red carpet. Whether it’s an embroidered outfit by Jason Wu (seen at the Birdman NYFF premiere) or the breathtaking emerald green Valentino gown (at the Venice Film Festival), Stone stands out among the crowd without trying really hard (or at all).
Julianne Moore
Another redhead we’re looking forward to seeing on the carpet? Julianne Moore, of course. Between her sexy, low-cut Tom Ford gown at the Hunger Games: Mockingjay L.A. premiere to the elegant Chanel couture gown seen at the Toronto Film Festival, the actress is showing no signs of slowing down on the carpet.
Never one to shy away from colorful patterns or dramatic details with her outfits, we’re excited to see what The Affair actress will choose to wear for the award show.
