Actress Sean Young Claims Harvey Weinstein Exposed Himself to Her

Sean Young, perhaps best known for her role as Rachael in 1982’s Blade Runner, has brought allegations of sexual harassment against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. The actress claimed Weinstein once exposed himself to her while she was working on a movie produced by his former production company, Miramax.

Young appeared on the Dudley and Bob with Matt Show podcast in Austin where she recalled working on the 1992 film Love Crimes. She says that is when she “personally experienced him pulling his you-know-what out of his pants.”

“My basic response was, ‘You know, Harvey, I really don’t think you should be pulling that thing out, it’s not very pretty,'” Young said. “And then leaving, and then never having another meeting with that guy again, because it was like, ‘What on earth?'”

Young went on to say that she believes many other women didn’t come out to tell their stories of harassment because of the system in place. “The minute you actually stand up for yourself in Hollywood, you’re the crazy one,” she said.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, she added about the incident, “It was really disgusting. Never had another shot at a Miramax film again.”

Young also recalled how Warren Beatty had also allegedly harassed her (a claim Beatty had denied), for which she says she was criticized at the time by Barbra Streisand. When she auditioned for The Mirror Has Two Faces, Young says she went to her audition with Streisand and quoted the star as saying, “I think it’s disgusting that you talked to the press!” She said, “And what I had said to the press was that I was harassed. That I was sexually harassed by Warren Beatty. And she told me she thought that was disgusting.”

Streisand responded to Young’s claims in a statement to THR: “I have no memory of ever having interviewed Sean Young. I do not condone the harassment of women under any circumstance.” 

The co-hosts said Young was “railroaded because she turned down the advances of dudes,” and recalled how she was labeled as “difficult to work with.” To which Young suggested that perhaps she should have been “softer” in her rejections.

Young joins over 40 other women who have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct, harassment or assault, including a number of women who have accused the ousted Weinstein Co. founder of rape, for which he is currently under investigation by the LAPD.

The star made the revelations while discussing her involvement in Blade Runner 2049, now in theaters, which recreated a digital version of her original character for the reboot.

A request for comment from Young was not immediately returned.
