AfterShock Comics has announced its creator lineup for next week’s New York Comic Con, including signings at the publisher’s booth, exclusive editions of a number of new titles and a panel revealing some behind the secrets from existing and upcoming projects featuring some of the most exciting names in comics.
Staffing the AfterShock booth (#2242 on the convention floor) at the Javits Center this year will be editor-in-chief Mike Marts, publisher and chief creative officer Joe Pruett, president Lee Kramer, senior vp sales & marketing Steve Rotterdam, retailer/fan relations manager Lisa Y. Wu and managing editor Christina Harrington, in addition to the creators who will have scheduled signings throughout the four-day convention, which is set to run Oct. 4-7.
Also at the booth will be NYCC exclusive editions of The Lollipop Kids No. 1, Beyonders No. 1 and The Last Space Race No. 1, each of which will feature covers unavailable anywhere else.
Creators previously announced for signings across the show include Declan Shalvey and Russ Braun on Oct. 4; Goran Sudzuka and Omar Francia on Oct. 5; Taylor Espositio, Eliot Rahal, Jorge Fornes, Juan Doe and the father/son writing team of Adam Glass & Aidan Glass on Oct. 6, and Donny Cates and Frank Tieri on Oct. 7. Heat Vision can exclusively reveal that writing team Zac Thompson and Lonnie Nadler will also be added to the signing schedule on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m.
A number of those creators — as well as Marguerite Bennett, Steve Orlando and Ted Anderson — will be present at Shock Treatment: Behind the Creative Alchemy at AfterShock Comics panel at 4 p.m. on Oct. 5 in Room 1C03, talking about present and forthcoming titles on the slate.
“AfterShock Comics couldn’t be more thrilled to head two blocks west from our New York offices to be part of all the action at this year’s New York Comic Con,” said Marts. “We’ve got a lot in store for AfterShock fans and friends, and we look forward to a memorable four days at one of the most exciting pop culture events of the year.”
