LONDON – The British Film Institute has added Andrea Wong, president of international production for Sony Pictures Television and president of international for Sony Pictures Entertainment, to its governing board.

“Each new board member brings a unique set of expertise, experience and insight to the table, and we are very pleased to have three such talented individuals join us,” said BFI chair Greg Dyke, the former head of the BBC. “The strength of the BFI board has been greatly enhanced and it is well-placed to meet the opportunities and challenges of the next phase in the BFI’s development and growth.”
Wong, based in London, is responsible for Sony Corp.’s international television production business, overseeing the creative teams outside the U.S. and 18 owned and joint venture production companies. She previously served as president and CEO of Lifetime Networks and as executive vp, alternative programming, specials and late night at ABC.
Czernin lived and worked in Los Angeles for nearly 10 years. In 2005, he set up Blueprint Pictures, a London-based feature film production firm, with a partner. It has produced seven features, including The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Seven Psychopaths and In Bruges. He is currently preparing for the release of Posh, directed by Lone Scherfig, and is in production on The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2, directed by John Madden.
Ross is best known in Britain for his celebrity interviews. He hosted BBC talk show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. In 2011, he went to ITV to host The Jonathan Ross Show.
