APA has signed First Man‘s Lukas Haas, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
In Damien Chazelle’s new biopic, which premieres Aug. 29 as Venice’s opening night film, the actor plays Mike Collins, the Apollo 11 astronaut who piloted the command module Columbia while Neil Armstrong (Ryan Gosling) and Buzz Aldrin (Corey Stoll) became the first two people to walk on the moon. Haas is also part of the ensemble of another highly anticipated film this fall, Steve McQueen’s heist thriller, Widows.
Haas’ big break came at the age of eight, playing the titular Amish child in Witness opposite Harrison Ford. His other credits include Woody Allen’s Everyone Says I Love You, Alan Rudolph’s Breakfast of Champions, Rian Johnson’s Brick, Gus Van Sant’s Last Days, Christopher Nolan’s Inception, Catherine Hardwicke’s Red Riding Hood, Baltasar Kormakur’s Contraband, Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks! and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s The Revenant.
Haas continues to be represented by LBI and Morris Yorn.
