It’s the latest musical do pick-up for Apple. The streamer has landed the Todd Haynes-directed doc about the Velvet Underground.
Aptly titled The Velvet Underground, the doc features in-depth interviews and never before seen performances, all while tracking how the group became the cultural touchstone they are.
Polygram Entertainment is behind the feature that was produced Haynes, Christine Vachon, Julie Goldman, Christopher Clements, Carolyn Hepburn and David Blackman.
Apple, which recently released Beastie Boys Story, has two upcoming musical doc releases — Bruce Springsteen’s Letter to You due out on Oct. 23 and Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry in February 2021.
