In the wise words of lyrical genius Taylor Swift, the “haters gonna hate (hate, hate, hate, hate),” but that doesn’t mean celebrities, or anyone else in the public eye for that matter, have to stand for it.
Like Gigi Hadid, Zendaya and supermodel Robyn Lawley before her, Ariana Grande has taken a stand against Internet trolls who have trashed the 22-year-old starlet for her “stick” figure.

In response to one comment in particular which pitted Modern Family’s Ariel Winter against the singer by comparing body types, Grande posted the following open letter calling for an shame-free environment for “women, men, anyone to embrace themselves exactly as they are.”
The singer accompanied the photo with the caption, “here we go again…. I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way today!! in case you need a reminder, you’re beautiful it’s a beautiful day to be yourself !!”
In solidarity with Grande, Winter also regrammed the open letter, thanking Grande for the support. “Thank you @arianagrande for posting this! I love the message you’re putting out there. I especially believe in today’s world we all need to stick together- I believe in EMPOWERING other women and not putting them down. I celebrate everyone for who they are because that is what makes them beautiful. You ARE beautiful.”
You go, ladies.
