Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global, which is celebrating its launch in New York on Wednesday evening at its pop-up store in Soho, is partnering with international media company Antenna Group as it looks to expand into foreign markets.
Huffington’s new corporate and consumer well-being and productivity company will partner with Antenna, which has also worked with such companies as Vice Media, and its Amplifier unit to reach international markets with its local expertise and media assets.
Thrive Global is offering companies and individuals science-based solutions to lower stress, prevent or address burnout and enhance well-being and productivity. It said it plans to offer “specific solutions to each region that it operates in, which are rooted in science as well as the philosophy and ancient wisdom of the local regions and cultures.”
Antenna, privately owned by the Kyriakou family, operates across Europe, with a focus on South Eastern Europe, as well as in North America and Australia. Amplifier works with digital ventures to accelerate their expansion into traditionally hard-to-reach-markets through its local relationships and media assets, including free-to-air and pay TV channels, online and digital ventures, TV production, radio stations, magazines and more.
Antenna will provide Thrive Global with infrastructure, local network and media support and leverage its business connections to allow it to bring all its offerings to Central and Eastern Europe, similar to Antenna’s partnership with Vice. That could mean facilitating partnerships with local companies for customized workshops, coaching and productivity initiatives, media cooperations focused on news about well-being and lifestyle topics and helping to establish a commerce platform.
“Thrive Global will have a great impact on how we work and live, and we’re excited to be working with Arianna and her team to help achieve their global ambitions,” said Antenna CEO Theodore Kyriakou.
“We want to establish Thrive Global as a global business from day one, which is why it was so important to choose the right partners internationally,” Huffington said. “Antenna Group has established an impressive reputation growing ambitious digital businesses like Vice in the region through its Amplifier unit, and we’re delighted to draw on the considerable experience and resources of Theo and his team to bring our health and wellbeing offerings to new markets.”
