Artists First has promoted Tucker Voorhees to partner, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The manager-producer has been with the company for more than a decade, ever since it was known as Principato Young Entertainment.
His clients include Veep‘s Matt Walsh and Nelson Franklin; Wrecked‘s Rhys Darby; I’m Dying Up Here‘s Jon Daly; I Feel Bad‘s Johnny Pemberton; Eagleheart‘s Jason Woliner; Superstore‘s Colton Dunn; and Saturday Night Live‘s Streeter Seidell. Voorhees executive produces PopTV’s Hot Date and previously produced MTV’s Human Giant and Spike TV’s Players.
“Tucker embodies the culture of Artists First and is someone who cares deeply about the organization,” the partnership, led by CEO and president Peter Principato, said Monday in a joint statement. “We welcome him in helping us guide the company into our next evolution of growth.”
Artists First currently has 21 managers across its Los Angeles, New York and Chicago offices. Its clients include Jordan Peele, Kenya Barris, Jon M. Chu (director of Crazy Rich Asians, the current No. 1 movie in America), Tiffany Haddish, Crazy Rich Asians scene-stealer Awkwafina, Regina Hall, Will Arnett, Ike Barinholtz, Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant, Judy Greer and Ed Helms. In addition to Hot Date, the company also produces the TV series Black-ish, The Last O.G., Grown-ish and The Gong Show and has produced the films Central Intelligence, A Futile & Stupid Gesture, Keanu and Bullet Head.
