YouTube sensation Austin Mahone told THR "I will do anything I can to get slime on my sweater."
Mahone is currently working on his debut album and will soon be embarking on tour with Taylor Swift. "There's gonna be a lot of songs that are like my current single, I'm gonna have some ballads that will make you cry, plus some cool collaboration," he said of his new album. "I'm trying to get a collaboration with Lil Wayne, but still working on that. He's gotta get healthy first."

Austin Mahone will release his yet-untitled debut album this fall via Chase/Universal Republic. The album, which does not currently have an official release date, will be preceded by the RedOne-produced single “What About Love” on June 10. The single will presumably give fans a taste of the forthcoming album.
“My album is coming out around the fall so it’s exciting,” Mahone told The Hollywood Reporter at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday. “I worked with RedOne. He’s done a lot of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj so he’s a super talented guy. We don’t have title [for the record] yet. If I did I would tell you!”

It’s unclear if RedOne worked on additional tracks for the disc, although Mahone certainly makes it seem that way. The 17-year-old singer, who is opening for Taylor Swift‘s Red Tour on select dates this summer, handed out the BBMA for Top EDM Artist to David Guetta, and noted that he has been inspired by the dance music genre on his album. Although that’s not to discount Mahone’s frequently referenced love for boy band pop.
“[The album is] gonna be a lot like Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync kind of melodies but like a new style of beat, kind of like EDM,” Mahone says. “New electronic style. It’s really hard to explain but just wait until it comes out.”
“What About Love” is currently available for pre-order on iTunes.
