After more than eight years at IMG, which was recently acquired by WME, agent Babette Perry is joining Innovative Artists, she announced on Wednesday.
Perry, who specializes in representing entertainment hosts, news and sports personalities, social media talent, news and alternative producers and others, will create and run a new Broadcast/Alternative Television division.
Perry, who formerly worked at ICM, has not announced which of her clients will follow her to Innovative, but over the years her roster has included Tom Bergeron (Dancing with the Stars), Phil Keoghan (The Amazing Race), Elisabeth Hasselbeck (Fox News), Cristina Perez (Cristina’s Court) and Curtis Stone (Take Home Chef).
She said in the announcement that she will also work with Innovative Artists’ roster of clients “to bring fresh new energy into the network, cable, digital and syndicated marketplaces.”
“This was the right home for me,” said Perry, “to create a comprehensive, forward-thinking business and offer the best representation possible to my many longtime clients and the new ones soon to follow.”
“She brings a unique expertise that adds an exciting new dimension for our clients,” said Scott Harris, president of Innovative Artists.
This is the second time Perry has made a move after her current home was merged with another agency. At ICM she had headed up the news and broadcasting departments until the agency acquired the Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann Agency in 2006. She left shortly after.
WME acquired IMG last July.
