The day that eBay entrepreneurs have dreamt about for so many months is finally upon us. That’s right, the Balmain x H&M collection hit stores today, and as expected, all hell has broken loose.
Malls, once generally regarded as safe spaces, have beefed up security to protect ferocious shoppers trampling one another all in the pursuit of looking much more like Kendall Jenner.
Videos circulating on social media of the madness put the infamous Target x Lilly Pulitzer shoppers to shame. Blood-thirsty customers savagely knock down displays and fight with one another while H&M employees cower in fear. From the carnage, one would think people were fighting for their last meal rather than a sequined mini dress.

The retailer’s website, which crashed earlier this morning, has already sold out of every piece — yes, including that $650 beaded bodycon dress. Needless to say, people are not happy, and they’ve (naturally) taken to Twitter to air their grievances.
Maybe next time spend less money on the parties and more on your IT department? #HMBALMAINATION

But don’t worry, if you didn’t get the opportunity to snatch up your favorite piece, there’s always eBay. Or, for those same quadruply marked up prices, one could actually buy a real Balmain piece. (But that would be too easy.)
