Batman, meet Daft Punk.
A new fan trailer is putting Batman Forever in new light. Cut to Daft Punk’s “The Game Has Changed” from the Tron: Legacy soundtrack, it instantly gives a whole new tone to the footage.
Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever is often overlooked in the pantheon of Batman movies — but it’s one of the most visually brilliant of any of the Dark Knight’s big-screen adventures. The filmmaker pushed his team to make the 1995 pic look as much like a comic book as possible (as chronicled in our oral history from 2015).
This trailer helps do that work justice, with creator Sam Ibrahim saying he wanted to emphasize the idea of The Riddler (Jim Carrey) being a hacker. You may have seen Ibrahim’s work before. He recently recut the X-2 trailer in the style of Logan. Here’s his latest:
