Battalion has been chosen as the agency of record for the Rodeo Drive Committee (RDC), the PR agency announced Wednesday.
Battalion will partner with RDC, a non-profit organization comprised of 80 luxury retailers, hoteliers and landownders that lead the initiatives on Rodeo Drive, to helm all public relations and marketing for the famed street.
Battalion will also be responsible for directing the world-famous shopping mecca’s annual events including the Beverly Hills Holiday Lighting Ceremony, Rodeo Drive Walk of Style and Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance and will work on sponsor acquisition with the Lagardere Unlimited Lifestyle Team.
“At the intersection of fashion, luxury, and entertainment, Rodeo Drive has instant brand recognition that few destinations can match,” said Mark Tronstein, president of the Rodeo Drive Committee, in a statement. “With Battalion, we’ve found the ideal partner for Rodeo Drive as it evolves to attract a new generation of sophisticated consumers while maintaining its appeal with those already in its fold.”
Battalion — the agency formerly known as GCK Partners that has worked with global luxury, fashion and lifestyle brands including Piaget, Ralph Lauren Watches & Jewelry, and Gemfields — will be led by partners Jim Kloiber and Marisa Drew. The duo will be joined by veteran PR exec Joe Richardson and former PMK exec Monique Jones.
