Bella Heathcote is the latest lady to join the cast of Fifty Shades Darker as one of Christian Grey’s former flames.
The Dark Shadows actress will play Leila, a woman who had been in a relationship with Jamie Dornan’s Christian, who is scarred both emotionally and psychically.
This casting follows the announcement that Kim Basinger will play Grey’s Mrs. Robinson-esque first lover.
James Foley is set to direct the next two installments of the E.L. James adaptation Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed from screenplays by Niall Leonard. The first film in the franchise, Fifty Shades of Grey, grossed $560 million worldwide.
Heathcote can be seen in the upcoming genre-bender Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, opening today. She is repped by WME, More/Medavoy and Sloane Offer.
