BET is gearing up for Black History Month with its fifth annual BET Honors show, which will celebrate the achievements of Mariah Carey, Maya Angelou, Spike Lee and more.
Gabrielle Union has signed on to host the show for a fourth year, and will be joined by a star-studded lineup of performers. Among those taking the stage is the newly engaged Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Cicely Tyson and Common, with Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrance Howard and Willow Smith all slated for appearances.

The show airs on Monday, Feb. 13 at 9 p.m., but will tape at the historic Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, Jan. 14. Proceeds from private ticket sales will benefit Metro TeenAIDS, a community health organization, which supports young people in the fight against HIV/AIDS with education, support and advocacy, and is a longtime partner of BET.
In addition to Carey, Angelou and Lee, other honorees include Stevie Wonder, the Tuskegee Airmen and inspirational coach and mentor Beverly Kearney. Stephen Hill, president of music programming and specials and Lynne Harris Taylor, vice president of specials for BET Networks are executive producing, along with Cossette Productions.
