Bill O’Reilly is making a comeback with the return of his No Spin News podcast. The former anchor of Fox News Channel’s The O’Reilly Factor announced Saturday night on his website that the first episode, exclusive to his subscribers, will air Monday at 7 p.m. ET.
The podcast will mark the first time O’Reilly has spoken out since releasing a statement regarding his ouster from Fox News after sexual harassment claims led to his show losing over two dozen advertisers. He will be paid as much as $25 million (equivalent to one year’s salary) and called the exit “tremendously disheartening.”
“It is tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims,” O’Reilly said in his statement. “But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today. I will always look back on my time at Fox with great pride in the unprecedented success we achieved and with my deepest gratitude to all my dedicated viewers. I wish only the best for Fox News Channel.”
Fox News host Tucker Carlson will replace O’Reilly in his former 8 p.m. slot.
