Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly has reportedly renewed his contract with the network, according to reports from The Wall Street Journal.
O’Reilly, the network’s most watched host, came under fire on Saturday with the release of a scathing article by The New York Times detailing sexual harassment claims that resulted in over $13 million in payouts from Fox News and O’Reilly.
The report chronicled numerous separate incidents of sexual harassment by O’Reilly that were settled out of court. O’Reilly’s lawyer, Fredric S. Newman, told the Times in a statement, “We are now seriously considering legal action to defend Mr. O’Reilly’s reputation.”
Fox News responded to an inquiry from The Hollywood Reporter saying they do not comment on talent contracts.
A request for comment from O’Reilly’s representatives was not immediately returned.
