As the only male carrying the Kardashian last name, Rob Kardashian has a big responsibility on his shoulders to help the family name live on — a subject which has come up several times on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
But it looks like Kris Jenner can breathe a little easier now. According to an Instagram posted by the youngest Kardashian’s fiancee, Blac Chyna, on Friday morning, the couple is expecting.
Rob, too, posted the same photo: An emoji version of Blac Chyna, 27, cradling a very pregnant belly. The digitized image of Chyna appears to be one from the makeup artist’s new line of emojis modeled after her image. According to TMZ, the set also includes a Rob emoji, showing the 29-year-old clad in a baseball cap.
Both captioned the identical images with emojis only — Rob with an emoji of a baby and bride, and Chyna with an emoji of a baby and confetti. Sources have confirmed to Us Weekly that the cryptic social posts are not a joke, and that the couple is in fact expecting their first child together. The pair announced their engagement over Instagram as well.
The couple has moved quickly; they began dating in January and became engaged in April. The relationship raised a few eyebrows at its onset, given that Rob’s half-sister, Kylie Jenner, is in a serious relationship with Tyga, the father of Chyna’s first child, 3-year-old King Cairo Stevenson. Jenner and Chyna engaged in a monthslong social media feud prior to Chyna’s relationship with Rob. However, according to a conciliatory selfie the two ladies posed for earlier this year, things appear to be all patched up.
