The new trailer for Black Mass proves why Whitey Bulger probably never received any “world’s greatest father” mugs.
The crime film stars Johnny Depp as the notorious gangster who teamed with the FBI to bring down a Mafia family. In a creepy exchange from the trailer, Bulger teaches his 6-year-old son that life is full of gray areas. “If nobody sees it, it didn’t happen,” Bulger says, much to the chagrin of the boy’s mother.
The trailer also shows snippets of various grisly murder scenes, including Bulger using his shoe to teach an adversary a lesson.
Director Scott Cooper‘s (Crazy Heart) film also stars Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Juno Temple, Kevin Bacon and Corey Stoll.
Warner Bros. releases Black Mass on Sept. 18. The latest trailer can be seen below.
