It was just announced last week that Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively is the face of Gucci’s new fragrance, Gucci Premiere.
So you might think she would wear a Gucci design at Universal’s big Los Angeles premiere of her latest drama, Savages, directed by Oliver Stone.

But you would be wrong. Instead, the stunning blonde wore a couture gown by Zuhair Murad, described in their press release as a “nude silk/tulle gown featuring an intricate pattern of hand-embroidered black beading, from the Spring/Summer 2012 Couture Collection.”
Not that Lively — who is reportedly dating Scarlett Johansson’s ex-husband, Ryan Reynolds — isn’t happy about her new highly paid brand ambassador status.
“Gucci is a staple. It is a brand I have always looked up to because to me it represents strength,” the 24-year-old told WWD. “In their designs, in their images, in what they stand for philanthropically, and especially in their fragrance. I couldn’t be more proud to be working with Gucci and its heart, Frida.”

“Although she’s young, she’s also very determined, and I liked this spirit,” Gucci creative director Frida Giannini responded. “She knows how to be a diva in the right sense, with an aspirational glamour.”
And this bombshell gown by Murad more than proves her new aspirational diva status.
In Savages, she plays the shared girlfriend of pot dealers Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson, who is kidnapped by the drug cartel. And she reportedly has some sizzling three-way love scenes in the film that also stars John Travolta, Emile Hirsch and Salma Hayek.
