Blake Shelton is about to get very angry.
The country music phenom will voice a pig in the upcoming Angry Birds movie. Shelton will play a back-country pig named Earl. “They kept saying, ‘More country!’ ” Shelton said to Entertainment Weekly. “I felt like I was doing a voice-over for Dukes of Hazzard.”
The Voice judge has also written a song for the film. Of the experience, Shelton told EW: “I can write things about myself and my life, but I don’t have a whole lot of experience being shot out of a slingshot at pigs.”
The animated feature is based on the popular game of the same name and also features the voice talents of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, and Danny McBride.
The film will land in theaters on May 20.
