The Blind Side star Quinton Aaron has been cast in Left Behind, the reboot from the best-selling end times book series.
The film, based on Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LeHaye‘s popular books, will also star Nicolas Cage, Chad Michael Murray, Cassi Thomson, Nicky Whelan and Jordin Sparks.

Produced and co-written by Paul Lalonde and producer Michael Walker and written by John Patus, Left Behind follows a group of survivors after millions of people around the world disappear. Those left behind have to learn to survive in a world that is quickly plunging into chaos and destruction.
Aaron will play Simon, a cameraman who is traveling to London when almost half the passengers on his flight suddenly vanish into thin air.
The pic, directed by Vic Armstrong, is filming in Baton Rouge, La. Jason Hewitt and his Films In Motion are executive producing along with J. David Williams.
The first adaptation of the Left Behind books starred Kirk Cameron and launched in 2001. It was based on the highly successful book series about the End Time and the Rapture that has sold more than 65 million copies in the U.S. Ladone wrote and produced the original series as well.
Aaron had his first lead role in the 2009 film The Blind Side playing Michael Oher, who rose from impoverished beginnings to become a football star and a first-round pick in the NFL by the Baltimore Ravens. His upcoming projects include horror pic The Appearing and drama 1982. He’s repped by the Glick Agency and Vincent Cirrincione Associates.
