Bode Miller won a bronze medal in Sunday’s super-G Alpine skiing competition, but many people are now talking about what happened after the race.
During an interview with NBC’s Christin Cooper, Miller — who tied with Canada’s Jan Hudec for the bronze — was repeatedly asked about his brother Chelone, who died in April following a seizure.

“You’re showing so much emotion down here,” Cooper said. “What’s going through your mind?”
“A lot, obviously,” Miller said. “A long struggle coming in here, and just a tough year.”
Cooper then asked him about his brother a few more times as Miller became emotional and struggled to respond. He finally put his head down and ended the interview. Cameras followed him as he walked away and knelt down, sobbing, before being comforted by his wife. (Watch the interview below.)

Not long after the interview aired on NBC on the West Coast, Miller hit Twitter to urge viewers not to give Cooper grief over what happened.
