A little more than a month after her oversight at NBCUniversal was broadened to include the entire entertainment cable portfolio, Cable Entertainment Group chairman Bonnie Hammer announced Monday expanded responsibilities for four top executives.
NBCU Cable Entertainment & Cable Studios’ Catherine Dunleavy follows Hammer in expanding her jurisdiction to the renamed Cable Entertainment Group, where she’ll retain the title of executive vp and CFO. Like Hammer, Dunleavy’s scope expands to cover nets Bravo, Oxygen and Telemundo.
Business affairs veteran Beth Roberts now will serve as executive vp business operations at the group, developing new strategies for business deals across the expanded cable portfolio. The legal affairs department now will report to her in the newly created position. (Roberts also retains her COO title at Universal Cable Productions.)
Cheryl Rosenbloom has been upped from senior vp human resources to executive vp human resources and diversity outreach.
Executive vp communications Cory Shields retains his title with the expanded jurisdiction, overseeing communications, press strategies and social initiatives across the Cable Entertainment Group portfolio.
The lieutenant appointments mark the latest transitions in NBCUniversal’s cable kingdom since CEO Steve Burke expanded Hammer’s reach last month. She’s moved into the authority of chairman Lauren Zalaznick, who now is focusing on the brand’s digital initiatives.
