Booth Moore has joined The Hollywood Reporter and Pret-a-Reporter.com as fashion senior editor.
Moore will cover fashion, luxury and entertainment for THR‘s print edition and also will head the Preta digital platform, including digital video content. She will report to THR deputy editor Jeanie Pyun and senior vp digital media Tom Seeley. Moore also will work closely with style editor Carol McColgin to produce THR’s franchises including “25 Most Powerful Stylists,” “Top 25 Red-Carpet Designers” and “25 Best Beauty Moments.”
“Booth brings an incredible breadth of experience and industry-insider perspective,” said Seeley. “Her expertise is essential to amplifying our groundbreaking style coverage in print and across our digital verticals as we deliver entertainment’s smartest and most comprehensive coverage.”
Added Pyun: “Booth’s well-respected and long-cultivated expertise on fashion and beyond in Los Angeles is unparalleled — we’re truly excited to welcome her to the Style team.”

Moore comes to THR after 11 years as the Los Angeles Times‘ first-ever fashion critic, where she covered runways in New York, London, Paris and Milan and interviewed such prolific designers as Karl Lagerfeld, Tom Ford, Donatella Versace and Nicolas Ghesquiere. She also has profiled celebrities including Victoria Beckham, Drew Barrymore and Kerry Washington.
Prior to her role as fashion critic, Moore served as the co-founding editor of the newspaper’s luxury-focused weekly section, Image, which included a corresponding seasonal magazine covering style in Los Angeles and beyond. She also served as a reporter for the L.A. Times‘ “SoCal Confidential” column.
Moore’s hiring comes on the heels of a record-breaking month for the The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard brand, which was recently ranked No. 3 among the country’s most highly trafficked entertainment news properties, according to comScore. With 27.6 million uniques in April, The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard sits behind only People-Entertainment Weekly and TMZ in the entertainment news category.
Pret-a-Reporter recently was nominated for best blog at the 58th annual Southern California Journalism Awards, one of 35 nominations received by THR. In addition, the “Beauty Issue” was cited for best use of social media to enhance and/or cover a story.
