Apparently apples are a thing of the past as Jennifer Lopez gets too close to a student in the first trailer for the forthcoming thriller The Boy Next Door.
The American Idol judge plays a high-school teacher in a loveless marriage who starts to get attention from Noah (Ryan Guzman, Step Up: All In), a hunky teen who moves in next door and attends her school.
After things go too far between the two, Lopez’s character wants nothing to do with Noah, but the guy isn’t giving up that easily. This includes his making numerous double entendres around her husband, including a sly remark about baked goods.
The film — with shades of the early-’90s Alicia Silverstone erotic thriller The Crush — was directed by Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious) from a script by Barbara Curry. Lopez was last seen onscreen in 2013’s Jason Statham vehicle Parker.
Universal releases the film Jan. 23, 2015.
