AP ImagesActor Bradley Cooper and director Todd Phillips, who collaborated on The Hangover trilogy, have teamed up to form a production banner, and have signed a three-year production deal with Warner Bros. Pictures.
At the same time, the duo have set their next collaboration, Arms & the Dudes, based on a Rolling Stone article written by Guy Lawson. The story tells of two stoners from Miami Beach who ended up becoming arms dealers for the U.S. government.
Jonah Hill has been involved in table reads for the project although it’s unclear at this stage if he will officially join the cast. Phillips is said to be doing a polish ahead of a shoot later this year.

Both Phillips and Cooper have or have had deals with Warners.
Cooper had a two-year deal that he signed in 2012 for his shingle 22nd & Indiana Pictures. That yielded American Sniper, which is currently shooting in Morocco and Los Angeles, with director Clint Eastwood.
With his Green Hat Films, Phillips has been based at the studio since 2005. The made not only the Hangover films but also 2010’s Due Date.
“Todd and Bradley have deep personal ties throughout the studio and we couldn’t be more pleased that they are combining their immense talents into what promises to be one formidable production company,” said Greg Silverman, Warner’ president, creative development and worldwide production.
“The entire Warner Bros. family is excited about the great movies we know will come from this collaboration of two highly successful and original filmmakers.”
Phillips and Cooper are repped by CAA; Phillips is also repped by attorney Warren Dern.
