Fourteen years after the massive success of “The Boy Is Mine,” Monica and Brandy Norwood — the ’90s R&B sensations who helped keep the song on the charts for 13 weeks — are back with a new studio collaboration.
The song, dubbed “It All Belongs to Me,” appears on Monica’s latest album, New Life, scheduled to drop March 6 through RCA Records. The single, written and produced by Rico Love, will be released Feb. 6. Norward also intends to include the song on her upcoming untitled album, expected for release this spring. Norwood recently signed with RCA as part of a venture with Chameleon Records.

“The Boy Is Mine,” which was the top-selling song of 1998, earned a Grammy Award for best R&B performance by a duo or group. It was a track on Monica’s album of the same name from the same year, which also spun off two other hit songs, “The First NIght” and “Angel of Mine.” Monica has had continued success as an R&B artist and her previous album, Still Standing, spawned the No. 1 song, “Everything to Me.”
Norwood, who balanced her teenage recording career with her own TV show, Moesha, included “The Boy Is Mine” on her sophomore CD, Never Say Never. She recently ventured into the world of reality television as a contestant on Season 11 of Dancing with the Stars and on the VH1 reality series, Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business, alongside her brother and parents.
She currently stars in the BET series The Game and will soon be seen on the big screen in Tyler Perry’s upcoming film, The Marriage Counselor.
