First teasing its 2012 original outing before the release of Cars 2, Disney and Pixar have finally fashioned a full-length trailer for Brave.

Princess Merida is seen frustrated and wild-haired while a parade of hapless men present themselves as champions for their kingdom. She bucks tradition, taking on the job for herself, inadvertently bringing chaos to everyone.
The film features a famous roster of Scottish voices — Kelly MacDonald, Billy Connolly, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson — and showcases the obligatorily impressive animation from Pixar. Merida’s wild red locks, in particular, seem poised to bounce right off the screen.

Brave is one of many high-profile 2012 pictures about strong heroines to get a trailer in the last week. The Hunger Games, Snow White and the Huntsman and Mirror Mirror all set a similar tone.
