For anyone who may be unfamiliar with the Brit Awards, they are the British equivalent of the Grammys.
This year’s show is hosted by Ant & Dec (Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly), an English comedy duo. Madonna, Ed Sheeran, George Ezra and Taylor Swift, among others, are set to preform at London’s O2 arena.
Sam Smith — who won best new artist and song of the year, among other awards, at this year’s Grammys — leads the pack with five Brit nominations, while Sheeran is close behind with four. FKA Twigs, Lily Allen, Coldplay, One Direction and Alt J are among the other nominees.
