Summer is still in full swing, but Bryce Dallas Howard looked to be a bit inspired by autumn at a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ event on Tuesday night. The Jurassic World star was shining in a star-print dress and rusty eye makeup.
“I love using warm, rusty colors with auburn hair,” says her makeup artist Georgie Eisdell. “For Bryce we went with a monochromatic smoky, earthy vibe.” Sure enough, it made her gorgeous green eyes absolutely pop.

To achieve the subtly sexy look that put the focus squarely on Howard’s peepers, Eisdell — who also works with Carey Mulligan and Halston Sage — first started with Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Color in Burnished Copper ($24) on her lid, all the way to the crease. “She has piercing green eyes, and I wanted to enhance them even more,” she says, “so I used a combination of eyeshadows.”
Next came powder formulas: MAC Eyeshadow in Rich Brick ($16) mixed with Tom Ford Eye Quad in Cocoa Mirage ($80) to get the warm tone. “To create depth I went in with Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Rich Chocolate on the lash line. Following that I used a soft liner along the lash line and extended it out to open up her eyes even more and create a bit more drama.”

The finishing touch, besides mascara of course, was a bit more of the rust and rich chocolate shadow shades under her eye to really drive home the smoked-out look. It may take a lot of products to achieve, but we’ll go ahead and say it was well worth it.
