CAA Appoints New Chief Human Resources Officer

CAA has created a new executive position, Chief Human Resources Officer, and hired Activision’s Sherri Sage Schwartz for the worldwide role, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

“Our company has seen tremendous growth over the past number of years, in terms of business sectors, geography and scale,” CAA managing partner Michael Rubel said in a statement. “We are confident that Sherrie’s wealth of talent and her experience at some of the world’s most well-regarded global brands will help us continue to ensure that we have the most vibrant, creative and empowering environment for employees worldwide.”

Schwartz was senior vp of human resources at video game publisher Activision Publishing, a subsidiary of leading entertainment software company Activision Blizzard. The Michigan grad, who received her MBA from the University of Illinois, previously served as HR executive at Levi Strauss & Co., Parke-Davis/Warner-Lambert and Kraft Foods.
