Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard has signed with CAA in all areas, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
Leonard’s trophy cabinet includes three National Golden Gloves, two Amateur Athletic Union championships, and the 1975 Pan American Games title. He won gold at the Olympics in Montreal a year later, then turned pro and became the first boxer to be a world champion in five different weight classes (winning six belts total).
Since retiring from the ring, Leonard has provided on-air commentary for ABC, HBO and ESPN and most recently has served as an analyst for NBC’s Premier Boxing Champions. He also competed in Dancing With the Stars in 2011.
Leonard, who released autobiography The Big Fight: My Life in and out of the Ring in 2011, has endorsed brands such as Skechers, Roots of Fight, EA Sports, Ford, Carnation, 7Up, Nabisco, Coca-Cola and Revlon. He is frequently invited to speak by Fortune 500 companies around the world.
Leonard and his wife, Bernadette, founded the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation in 2009, which supports Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles in its fight against childhood diabetes. The foundation’s signature event is its annual Big Fighters, Big Cause charity boxing night.
