Cameron Diaz is widely known for her starring roles in My Best Friend’s Wedding, Charlie’s Angels, There’s Something About Mary and The Holiday.

But beyond her recognition as the blue-eyed, 5-foot-9 actress with a megawatt smile, The Hollywood Reporter looks at five facts you probably didn’t know about Diaz.

Went to High School With Snoop Dogg

Diaz and Snoop Dogg attended Long Beach Poly High School at the same time. Before they were stars in Hollywood, the two did “business” together. “We went to high school together. He was a year older than me and I remember him there,” Diaz told George Lopez on his talk show. “There was a lot of kids at our school. There was like 3,500 kids, but I remember him. He was very tall and skinny; wore lots of ponytails on his head; and I’m pretty sure I bought weed from him. I had to have.”

Anti-Botox

“I’ve tried it before where it’s that little tiny touch of something and it changed my face in such a weird way that I would rather see myself,” she told Entertainment Tonight about having Botox injections. “I would rather see my face aging than a face that doesn’t belong to me at all.”

Suffers From ADD

“I have no interest in directing movies or producing movies. I like my role in making films. It’s the perfect amount of involvement for me. I have ADD,” Diaz told ABC’s On the Red Carpet. “I would never be able to spend two years making a movie or even one year. I would just, I’d be someplace else within a few short moments.”

Says No to Social Media

Despite her global recognition and fame, Diaz doesn’t want fans being witness to every part of her life via social media. “I think social media is a crazy-ass experiment on society,” she told Cosmopolitan UK. “The way people use it to get validation from a bunch of strangers is dangerous. What’s the point?” She also told Good Morning America, “It’s not my instinct to share what I’m doing. Isn’t that weird?”

Practices Transcendental Meditation

“I would try meditations because I knew that there was something there for me in meditation, but every time that I would try and do it, I was just like ‘I cannot meditate,'” she said during a David Lynch Foundation gathering about trying other forms of meditation before learning Transcendental Meditation (TM). Diaz said a friend recommended TM to her: “I learned and it was exactly what I needed. The thing that blew me away the most about it was that it was the easiest thing that I had ever done. Not the easiest meditation, but the easiest thing I have ever learned.”
