TORONTO – Looking for a teen TV franchise, Canadian indie Raven Banner Entertainment has optioned the rights to Wesley King‘s young adult series The Vindico, and follow-up sequel, The Feros.
Toronto-based Raven Banner is looking to adapt the superhero mythology book series for the small screen, as it portrays five teens who are abducted from their everyday lives and trained to become the next generation of super-villains.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Raven Banner,” said King in a statement on Tuesday. ?
The deal was negotiated by Raven Banner managing partners Michael Paszt and James Fler, and UTA’s Dana Borowitz on behalf of King.??
King is represented by Brianne Johnson at Writers House, which also represents Stephenie Meyer‘s The Twilight Saga franchise.
Recent releases by Raven Banner include Don Coscarelli’s John Dies At The End, The Frankenstein Theory, Adam Green’s Hatchet III and Slasher Films’ Nothing Left to Fear.
