Yet another music icon joins James Corden for “Carpool Karaoke” Tuesday, with Lady Gaga “helping James get to work” on Tuesday. She joins the superstar likes of Adele, Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder, Britney Spears and Elton John in the ever-growing impressive list of pop elites who have taken a trip with James, hinting that there are plenty more big-time options for “Carpool Karaokes” down the road.
James himself has expressed that he’d love to have Bruno Mars and Beyonce take part in the popular late-night segment, and has promised a Kanye West one is coming (but knowing Yeezy, it may never actually happen).
Who else would make for an epic car jam session? In no particular order, check out the artists some music fans are hoping to see take the front seat:
Bruno Mars
Now that 24K Magic is a thing, we can only hope James’ wish comes true for getting funkmaster Bruno on board. Maybe he’d even bring the “Lazy Song” monkeys along for the ride.
Beyonce
This seems like a bit of a long shot for the media-reticent star, but then again, James got Mariah Carey to sign on — anything is possible. Just imagine Bey getting a bunch of cars into Formation.
Madonna
Because how can you host a succession of modern pop divas without inviting the original queen? Envisioning a “Like A Prayer” duet with James is just too good.
Nicki Minaj
?Adele gave us a taste of what Nicki Minaj’s “Carpool Karaoke” would be like when she busted out “Monster” during her own segment (which has racked up more than 130 million views), and now we can’t stop longing to hear the Pinkprint rapper follow that with hits like “Starships,” “Super Bass” and “Anaconda.”
Drake
Kanye may be supposedly in the works, but the 6 God has delivered enough hits to make for one hype car ride with James. Even if he doesn’t do his own, a Drake cameo during Nicki’s would also be pretty kickass.
Paul McCartney
From “Let It Be” to “Band On The Run,” legendary doesn’t even begin to describe the kind of “Carpool Karaoke” Paul McCartney could have. Plus, the two-Brits formula has proved to make for some awfully entertaining segments so far.
Taylor Swift
Let’s be honest, Taylor Swift is the kind of artist whose songs make for pop-up “Carpool Karaoke” sessions all across the world whenever they come on the radio. Might as well see what T-Swift is like when she’s doing it herself.
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake’s Saturday Night Live hosting gigs always leave us craving more from the “Can’t Stop The Feeling” singer, so we can imagine how expressive he’d be singing with James. Oh, and we’d fully expect at least one *NSYNC singalong.
Ariana Grande
She’s proven she can karaoke to Celine Dion and Christina Aguilera no problem, so now we want to hear Ariana Grande do her own hits.
Adam Levine
He’s already in L.A. for The Voice, so maybe James could give Adam a hand getting to work one day. And it’d be a great way to keep promoting Maroon 5’s latest single, “Don’t Wanna Know” — especially if Kendrick Lamar showed up.
Luke Bryan
Country is a genre James hasn’t covered much with “Carpool Karaoke” (other than Carrie Underwood, see below), so if there’s one Southerner to change that, it should definitely be regular chart-topper Luke Bryan. His hip-shaking might get a bit restricted by the seatbelt, but we’d love to see him try.
Bruce Springsteen
The Boss seems like the kind of guy who belts out “Born To Run” in the car when it happens to come on the radio, no? Either way, we’d kind of die to see that happen.
The Rolling Stones
One Direction all squeezed in James’ car for a British invasion “Carpool Karaoke,” and now we want to see an even more iconic one. If we couldn’t get all of the Stones in one car, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards would certainly suffice.?
Bono
He and U2 have already busked in a New York City subway station, so why not perform in another mode of transportation next?
Katy Perry
Since rocking the Super Bowl XLIX stage in February 2015, Katy Perry has made fans long for another epic national performance. Hearing her and James jam to songs like “Teenage Dream,” “Rise” and “Firework” would certainly satisfy that.
Related Stories
Michael Buble
Considering Michael Buble has made his mark by covering tunes by Frank Sinatra and others, his life has kind of been one big karaoke session. But his charisma is what has ultimately made him the star he is today, which would likely result in a pretty hilarious segment with James.
Rihanna
Although Rihanna already sung the evolution of her music on the MTV Video Music Awards, we definitely wouldn’t mind seeing her run through her hits again in karaoke form. (Drake cameo in this one too, please?)
Billy Joel
“Piano Man” may be one of the most classic singalongs of all time, and Billy Joel has plenty more Carpool Karaoke-friendly songs like it in his repertoire.
?Usher
Usher may be known for his smooth moves, but his voice — and number of hits — is still plenty worthy of his own segment. He’d probably want to avoid singing “Crash,” though …
