Carrie Fisher has heard enough from some who’ve criticized her look in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The actress, who reprises her iconic role of now-Gen. Leia Organa in the pic, on Tuesday responded to those who have criticized her appearance, saying the negative comments have taken somewhat of a toll.

Fisher also shared with her more than 778,100 Twitter followers a post from a supporter.
@IzzoKendall @carrieffisher Men don’t age better than women, they’re just allowed to age.

Fisher then re-tweeted some of the harsh comments aimed at her before she shared:

The actress previously said she lost weight through diet and exercise for the sequel, an expectation before returning to the role of Leia.
“Nothing changes, it’s an appearance-driven thing,” Fisher told Britain’s Good Housekeeping magazine in early December. “I’m in a business where the only thing that matters is weight and appearance. That is so messed up. They might as well say get younger, because that’s how easy it is.”
Force Awakens has been breaking box-office records since its mid-December release and is on its way to becoming the highest-grossing film of all time.
On Wednesday, Mark Hamill addressed the harsh glare his friend and Star Wars twin sister had to endure.
Bring it! She doesn’t need me or anyone else to defend her- she’s just that fierce. Love my movie sis. #CarrieRules https://t.co/u3ych8z6LZ
