
LAS VEGAS — In attendance at the Consumer Electronics Show with its recently launched Nabi kid-friendly tablet, Fuhu also offered a preview of its soon-to-be-released Nabi Box, which extends the experience to a TV.

The company is seeking content partners, and in the coming weeks, expects to make announcements with several studios that would provide video content to the device through streaming or through a cartridge.
The Nabi Android tablet, priced at $199, offers a 7-inch touchscreen and is aimed at kids ages 4-10.

Current content includes games (i.e. a partnership with Electronic Arts), movies (i.e. Netflix app), music (i.e. partnership with 7digital) and educational content.
A ‘Mommy mode’ gives adults access to the tablet for additional applications. Nabi is wifi enabled and based on version 2.2 of Android.
Fuhu’s investors include Acer and Foxconn.
