March for Our Lives and We Stand United have teamed up for a PSA called “My First Time” to urge all Americans, specifically first-time voters, to register and vote in the upcoming midterm elections on Nov. 6.
The video, which was released on Tuesday, includes appearances by Chadwick Boseman, Don Cheadle, Rosario Dawson, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Zoe Kravitz and Mark Ruffalo.
“My first time,” Boseman begins in the video before it cuts to Johansson stating, “I was nervous.”
The stars then list where they voted for the first time. While Kravitz’s first time “was in the back of a firehouse,” Cheadle’s “was in a church.”
“It was amazing,” says Dawson about her first time voting.
“I mean, I didn’t know how to do it,” recalls Ruffalo, while Boseman adda, “Where to put it, you know, where to slide it in.”
Foreigner’s “Feels Like the First Time” begins to play as the stars featured in the video giggle at the sexual innuendos being used to explain their first time voting.
“So finally, you know, I just went and I just did it. I voted,” says Kravitz.
Evans then recalls voting for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election. “My first time with a woman was 2016. It felt good, but it ended badly,” he says.
The video takes a more serious note when Cheadle says his parents weren’t able to vote until 1965. “So I do it every chance I get,” he adds.
“We have the numbers. We have the power. We can do this,” says Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor and March for Our Lives co-founder Emma Gonzalez. Adds fellow March for Our Lives co-founder David Hogg, “Come do it with us. November 6.”
“Let’s rise up, register and let our voices be heard,” says Boseman.
Adds March for Our Lives Co-Founder Delaney Tarr: “You can’t vote if you don’t fill out the forms and register.”
After Hogg encouraged viewers to visit MarchforOurLives.com to register, Tarr concludes, “It takes, like, two minutes.”
